Juniper Networks
Juniper, officially known as Juniper Networks, is an American networking company that was founded in 1996. Juniper went public just 3 years later, in 1999, which is a great progress even for the Silicon Valley. The company designs and sells high-performance Internet Protocol network products and services. Juniper’s main products include T-series, M-series, E-series, MX-series, and J-series families of routers, EX-series Ethernet switches and SRX-series security products.
Juniper equipment runs on Junos, the company’s proprietary operating systems, which most of Juniper products are made for.
The Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCP) consists of 2 areas: Junos-based and platform-specific, multi-tiered tracks. The certifications validate candidates’ skills and understanding of various areas in Juniper’s technology.
JNCP features various tracks, tiered from Associate to Expert level. Three tracks are based on the Junos operating system, while others cover various aspects of Juniper platforms and equipment. Junos Support Tracks of JNCP validate the holders’ expertise in Juniper Networks technology, including the troubleshooting on Junos devices.
In addition to Junos tracks, JNCP features Product and Technology tracks - specific to Juniper Networks technologies.
