CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional Exams

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification is a globally recognized standard of achievement that confirms an individual's knowledge in the field of information security. CISSPs are information assurance professionals who define the architecture, design, management and/or controls that assure the security of business environments.

CISSP is a professional level certification. To be eligible for this exam, candidates should have at least 5 years of direct full-time security work experience in two or more of the ten (ISC)² information security domains (CBK).

CISSP exam takes 6 hours and can be taken at a Pearson Vue training center. The exam has a high passing score of 70%, which makes it one of the hardest IT exams to pass. The CISSP exam covers the following domains:

• Cryptography
• Security architecture and design
• Operations security
• Business continuity and disaster recovery planning
• Legal, regulations, investigations and compliance
